URBAN ACTIVE GIVING BACK PROGRAM

Our Philosophy:
Our philosophy is to positively impact the quality of life in the communities where our fitness clubs are located and where our members and employees live and work.

From day one, Urban Active’s founders have shared their good fortune by giving back through charitable financial support to select charities and through the donation of in-kind Urban Active gift memberships to groups for fundraising events, such as raffles or silent auctions.

Over the past 15 years, nearly a half-million dollars has been donated in support of our communities.

Due to the volume, Requests / Applications will not be accepted by phone, mail, e-mail or on-site at Urban Active Fitness Centers. We thank you for your understanding.


Charitable Financial Support:
Unfortunately, due to the volume of requests we receive each year, it is simply impossible to provide funding for every charity and group who contacts us, so Urban Active has put together a set of guidelines to aid anyone interested in participating.

Programs eligible to apply for financial support:

American Heart Association
National Diabetes Coalition
Education Programs for Children
Public Radio and Television

If your group meets the parameters of any of these programs, you are welcome to apply for a cash award. Applications must be submitted during the last quarter (October-December) of the current year to be considered for funding for the following year. Applications will not be accepted by phone, mail, or email or onsite at Urban Active Fitness Centers.

If your group does not fall within our financial support requirements, you may still be eligible for an in-kind gift of an Urban Active Gift Membership for your fundraising event.

In-Kind Donations of Urban Active Gift Memberships:

Donations of Urban Active Gift Memberships for special fundraising events may be awarded in the amount of one, two, three or six months. Following is a list of criteria to be met for consideration.

All requests must be received a minimum of 90 days prior to the event.
All requests must include the selected date(s) of the event.
All events must benefit a charitable organization.
All events must be held in close proximity to an Urban Active Fitness Center.
Events that have a close relationship to health, exercise and wellness are preferred.
